Japan Airlines awarded Brahim’s Food Services Sdn Bhd the “Most Improved Caterer Worldwide” under the Hygiene Quality Award Category
Sepang, 27 June 2024 – Japan Airlines has awarded Brahim’s Food Services Sdn Bhd the “Most Improved Caterer Worldwide” under the Hygiene Quality Award Category.
Ms lchihara Yukiko, Director of Safety Management Group, Japan Airlines presented the award certificate to Encik Faizal Rosli Datuk Abdullah, Chief Operating Officer, Brahim’s Food Services Sdn Bhd.
“Congratulations to everyone for your strong efforts, hardworking and determination in making the recent Japan Airlines Hygiene Audit a success. Your cooperation and teamwork have produced a fruitful success and today we received recognition from Japan Airlines. Together we will strive to serve Japan Airlines better!”, said Faizal Rosli Datuk Abdullah, Chief Operating Officer, Brahim’s Food Services Sdn Bhd.
Present at the award presentation ceremony were Mr Kamiya Shigeo, Assistant Manager, Catering Operation Group Japan Airlines, and Puan Siti Sarah, Head of Marketing, Brahim’s Food Services Sdn Bhd.
The Japan Airlines Group implemented a food safety management system for consolidated subsidiaries that handle food to provide safe and secure food that its customers can trust. Japan Airlines also conducted hygiene audits twice a year on caterers at all operating sites and regularly on self-operated lounges, to ensure that hygiene management standards appropriate for the JAL brand are strictly controlled.
The Hygiene Management Manual, which is based on relevant laws and Codex in each country, defines the hygiene standards to be complied with, including risk judgment criteria, audit check items, and methods for analyzing near-miss trends. Caterers and lounges have established procedures to ensure appropriate management in accordance with the contents of the Hygiene Management Manual.
